Hello,
My name is Jaleel King and I am a disabled photographer from Philadelphia, PA; home of the 08 National League Champion Phillies, Eagles and Cheesesteaks.
I've been shooting film for years before getting lazy with my first digital camera, a Sony F505v. This camera proved to be convenient but slow and didn't do well in low light, still, it did what it was suppose to well in good light.
After finishing school for Video Production, I worked on and off, in the industry but never found stable employment. Because of this I began to fall back on getting work doing photography, however, I was still stuck with the Sony F505v and I wanted, no, needed something more. Enter my "brother" Godfrey who helped me get a temporary Production Assistant job with MTV. I made it my mission to use the money I made to buy a DSLR but could I couldn't afford new.
I lucked up and found a used Canon 30D on Craig's List of all places and for under $700. I've since upgraded to a 40D and have also gone full swing to getting back into what I love.
I will basically shoot just about anything. I really love photojournalism; I'm a people person. Most recently I've been shooting Fashion for local designers and I've had lots of success and fun doing that.
I look forward to getting feedback on my work and maybe connecting with some of you.
